"Rude Behavior. Please Be Careful" Request Accepted
A story that a woman was told by a cafe owner to "be more considerate" after defecating in the cafe restroom has recently come to light, sparking controversy. The woman expressed frustration, saying she simply used the restroom, yet another customer even complained.
According to an online community on the 21st, Ms. A posted about an experience she had on the 19th when she visited an atmospheric cafe with her boyfriend. She said, "While drinking and talking with my boyfriend, I felt stomach pain and went to the restroom," adding, "There was only one toilet, and when I finished and came out, another customer was waiting."
She continued, "But then the customer who went in after me came out of the restroom and went to the counter, looking in my direction as they spoke." That customer returned to their seat, and the cafe owner approached Ms. A and asked, "Did you defecate in the restroom?"
When Ms. A confirmed, the owner said, "Since this restroom is shared by everyone, defecating here might not be considerate to the next person. We received a complaint from another customer. Please be careful next time," requesting her to be more mindful.
Ms. A expressed her outrage, saying, "I never imagined the owner would mention that I defecated. I definitely flushed, and the toilet didn’t clog," adding, "It’s not like I pooped in the middle of the cafe, so I can’t believe they filed a complaint and that the complaint was accepted."
When the bewildered Ms. A asked, "Are you upset because I pooped in the restroom? Where else am I supposed to poop if not in the restroom?" the owner retorted, "There is only one restroom, so how do you think the next customer feels when someone defecates?"
Ms. A claimed, "The owner looked very displeased as if I was being unreasonable and spoke in a lecturing tone," adding, "When my boyfriend said we should leave, I looked at the expression of the person who went in after me, and they looked at me as if I were some kind of bug, which made me very angry."
She also lamented, "There was no sign saying 'No Defecation,' so is it really a nuisance to poop when there is only one restroom?" and "That’s a lack of preparation on the part of the store, not something the customer should have to consider. It’s a natural bodily function; what else can I do?"
Finally, Ms. A complained, "I find it absurd that the owner has never been in a situation where they urgently needed to defecate in their life," and asked, "Was I really the one who lacked basic manners and consideration?"
