Workshop for the Chairperson Group and Standing Committee Chairs

The Gyeongbuk Provincial Council (Chairman Park Seongman) held a 'Chairmanship and Standing (Vice) Committee Chair Workshop' from the 19th to the 20th, attended by more than 40 participants including the chairmanship, chairs and vice-chairs of each standing committee, spokesperson, and senior officials from the council secretariat, to discuss key issues for the second half of the 12th Provincial Council.

During the workshop, in-depth discussions and exchanges of opinions were held among the members regarding the operational direction of the second half of the 12th Provincial Council, which began in earnest in early July, and concrete action plans to realize a truly representative council through communication, coexistence, change, and innovation, as emphasized by Chairman Park Seongman upon his inauguration.


In particular, intensive discussions were held on the following topics: a slogan contest for the second half of the 12th Provincial Council aimed at the residents, the operation of the newly introduced spokesperson system to enhance the public's right to know and strengthen communication, substantive implementation of capacity-building training for members to establish a diligent council, and reflecting residents' opinions regarding the Daegu-Gyeongbuk administrative integration.


Chairman Park Seongman stated, "I believe the council is like a ship powered by the support and encouragement of the residents. We will do our utmost to change and innovate ourselves so that the will of the people can serve as the council's rudder," adding, "Through this workshop, we will comprehensively review and actively reflect the various constructive opinions provided by the members regarding the operation of the council in the second half."
