Hampyeong Dolmeori Beach 'Eel Catching Experience' Gains Popularity

Three Additional Sessions Scheduled on the 27th, Next Month 3rd, and 15th

On the 20th, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, held an eel catching experience event at Dolmeori Beach, releasing 100kg of eels, which received great responses from tourists.

According to the county, this experience event was organized to promote Hampyeong's specialty product, eel, along with the beautiful natural scenery and clean sea of Hampyeong Bay to tourists.

On that day, tourists cooled off from the summer heat in the water with the eels and enjoyed both fun and health by cooking and eating the caught eels on the spot.

The county plans to hold the eel catching experience event three more times on the 27th of this month, and on the 3rd and 15th of next month.

Meanwhile, Dolmeori Beach offers various attractions such as a seawater pool, a children's water playground, a seawater jjim healing center, and mudflat experiences. Nearby, there is a drive-in theater and an amphibian and reptile ecological park, making it an ideal travel course.

Lee Sang-ik, the mayor of Hampyeong-gun, said, "We will strive to discover and improve various programs so that tourists can have an exciting and meaningful time at Dolmeori Beach."
