On the 19th, SBS's 'Curious Story Y' covered the YouTube Jjuyang extortion case. Gujeokyeok, identified as one of the YouTubers who threatened Jjuyang, expressed his grievances on the broadcast. He claimed, "At the beginning of last year, there was an overwhelming amount of anonymous reports about Jjuyang," and added, "I contacted her agency to verify the facts."

He continued, "I said I would produce a video to help clear Jjuyang's name," and explained, "At that time, she asked me for 'risk management consulting' and wanted me to find out the informant's identity. I received 55 million won." The director and general PD of Jjuyang's agency, who met Gujeokyeok on her behalf, said, "Even after reconsidering 100 times, it was extortion," and described the situation: "Gujeokyeok made a thumbnail and prepared a video that could spread with one click, then called saying, 'If you don't contact me quickly, I will upload it.'"

They said, "As soon as Gujeokyeok met us, he started searching our bodies," and "He checked if we had recording devices and made us turn off our phones." They claimed, "He said that if the video he had already made was not uploaded, he couldn't generate revenue, so we had to pay him for that, and reluctantly, we handed over 55 million won." The agency's general PD said they have continued to receive threats even after deciding to file a complaint against Gujeokyeok and others. He stated, "Since then, emails have come, and some people are asking for about 80 million won," and expressed hope that "those who did wrong will be punished and that there will be no secondary harm or unfounded speculation against the victim."

Meanwhile, Jjuyang's legal representatives, Kim Taeyeon and Kim Kiback of Taeyeon Law Office, released an official statement on the 15th, announcing their intention to sue YouTuber Gujeokyeok for extortion and threats. Subsequently, on the 18th, Jjuyang disclosed the videos and emails received from Gujeokyeok and uploaded a video explaining the threatening situation. She also revealed that the person who reported this to Gujeokyeok was the legal representative of Mr. A.
