The Paris Olympic Organizing Committee stated in a press release that "due to global technical issues, the IT operations of 'Paris 2024' are also experiencing disruptions," and added, "The technical team has been fully mobilized and emergency measures are in operation to minimize the impact."

The committee did not disclose specific details about the damage.

A committee official explained to AFP news agency that "there have been some cases where the approval system (for accreditation, etc.) was disrupted, causing some people to be unable to receive their badges."

The official also added that some overseas teams planning to enter Paris might face schedule disruptions due to cancellations of flights by certain airlines.

Currently, Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport, located on the outskirts of Paris, were not directly affected by the IT crisis on that day.

However, the Paris Airport Group stated that due to operational disruptions at major airlines and airports worldwide, issues such as delays and cancellations of flight arrivals and departures have occurred.
