SH Corporation Obtains 'Human Rights Management System Certification' for Second Consecutive Year

Efforts to Establish a Customized Human Rights Management System and Promote a Culture of Human Rights Respect

Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 19th that it has obtained the Human Rights Management System certification for the second consecutive year.

The 'Human Rights Management System certification' is a system granted by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), a specialized human rights management evaluation agency, which assesses whether an organization complies with the international community's human rights management requirements. SH Corporation explained, "We received the certification in recognition of our efforts to establish a stakeholder-tailored human rights management system and to spread a culture of respect for human rights."

SH Corporation expanded and reorganized its Human Rights Management Committee into the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management Committee to carry out human rights management activities. It also revised the human rights management declaration by reflecting the opinions of employees and stakeholders, actively responding to internal and external environmental changes and policy shifts. Additionally, it pursued the establishment and advancement of a mid- to long-term human rights management strategic system linked to company-wide ESG management, conducted stakeholder-participatory human rights impact assessments, enhanced human rights violation remedy procedures through the SH Human Rights Center, and received the Republic of Korea Human Rights Award from the National Human Rights Commission.

Kim Heon-dong, President of SH Corporation, stated, "Having obtained the Human Rights Management System certification for two consecutive years, we will actively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously advance the human rights management system." He added, "SH Corporation will lead the practice of human rights management to ensure that a culture of human rights management spreads among employees and various stakeholders."
