Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 19th that it will conduct capacity-building training for 56 selected young farmers participating in the Young Farmer Settlement Support Project over eight sessions until the 27th of next month.
This training was prepared to support the full-scale settlement of new young farmers following two rounds of selection training held in April and June.
The training content includes courses designed to help new young farmers achieve stable settlement in farming, such as recognizing the value of agriculture, improving management skills, and utilizing marketing capabilities.
Additionally, the program covers diverse topics including agricultural accounting and legal knowledge essential for farmers, agricultural personal branding, and practical training on the safe use of agricultural machinery.
The city expects this training to play an important role in forming human networks to ensure that no young person becomes culturally or emotionally isolated.
A city official stated, “Young farmers are key resources who will lead the future of agriculture,” adding, “We will continuously seek ways to nurture young farmers and do our best to help them grow into professional agriculturalists.”
Meanwhile, 75 new young farmers (71 nationwide type, 4 Jeonbuk type) were selected in March this year.
