Vice Minister Kim evaluated that as follow-up measures to the summit, achievements such as ▲participation of Korean companies in the construction and operation of Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers ▲the opening of the Doha Korea Medical Center have been realized. He also expressed hope that discussions on cooperation between the two countries in comprehensive fields such as ▲investment ▲artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT) ▲defense industry ▲airports and ports ▲culture and tourism ▲smart farms will proceed successfully.
Minister Al-Khater responded by appreciating the significant contributions of Korean companies to building Qatar's industrial base, including constructing major buildings in Qatar, and expressed hope to deepen and develop cooperation with Korea in various fields such as trade, investment, defense industry, and e-government.
Both sides also discussed regional situations. Vice Minister Kim pointed out that the North Korea-Russia cooperation achieved during Russian President Vladimir Putin's recent visit to North Korea violates Security Council resolutions and seriously threatens peace and stability not only on the Korean Peninsula but also in the international community. Furthermore, the two sides exchanged views on the situations in Israel-Hamas, Syria, and Ukraine, and agreed to work together to improve the humanitarian situation.
