Samhwa Paint Conducts Color Education for Middle School Students in Jongno-gu

Samwha Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. announced on the 19th that it conducted a ‘Corporate-Linked Convergent Creative Education’ program in collaboration with Jongno-gu.

The ‘Corporate-Linked Convergent Creative Education’ is a project supported by Jongno-gu and companies to provide students with opportunities for career exploration and high-quality experiential education. Samwha Paint received great responses from students in the creative education program it first conducted in 2023, and encouraged by the students’ interest, it participated in the project again this year.

Samwha Paint shared real industrial color planning cases in architecture, products, and interior design, as well as the experiences of color experts, with about 230 students from three middle schools located in Jongno-gu to broaden their horizons and provide opportunities to indirectly experience careers.

In this creative education program, Samwha Paint explained the theory and understanding of color, including the meanings, symbols, and effects of colors that are often overlooked in daily life. It also provided middle school students with hands-on experiences of tonal changes and the emotional aspects of colors to help them easily understand color. In particular, the program introduced an understanding of the perspectives of colorblind individuals, the elderly, and companion dogs, as well as the Color Universal Design conducted at the Samwha Paint Color Design Center.

Lee Sang-hee, head of the Samwha Paint Color Design Center, said, “We introduced various industries and conveyed how to utilize colors and design color schemes suitable for each industry to middle school students who are concerned about their career paths. We hope the future generation will feel the beauty that colors provide.”

Meanwhile, Samwha Paint received the ‘Creative Education Cooperation Company’ award from Jongno-gu in 2023, and since signing a business agreement with Jongno-gu in 2022 regarding public design, it has been jointly conducting social contribution projects such as cultural and artistic support and street aesthetics improvement.
