"Prevent Heavy Rain Damage"... Mun Heon-il, Guro-gu Mayor, Conducts Emergency On-Site Inspection

Amid continuous heavy rain for several days, Moon Heon-il, the mayor of Guro District, announced on the 19th that he conducted an emergency on-site inspection.

On that day, Mayor Moon personally visited major local rivers such as Mokgamcheon, Dorimcheon, and Anyangcheon to check the water levels, flooding situations, and access control status, urging thorough safety measures.

At the site, Mayor Moon emphasized, “Since localized heavy rain falling in a short time and nocturnal torrential rain concentrated at night continue, a more thorough response is necessary,” adding, “Please do not let your guard down to prevent any safety accidents among residents.”

He then moved to the Guro 1 Rainwater Pump Station to inspect the operation status of the pump station.

Mayor Moon stated, “We will repeatedly inspect flood-prone areas and regions with high accident risks, and mobilize all the district’s capabilities to do our best to minimize damage to residents caused by the heavy rain.”

Meanwhile, Guro District has been working to prevent flood damage caused by heavy rain by improving the district office website last year to allow real-time monitoring of the rainwater pump station operation status and the water levels of bridge piers in local rivers such as Gaebonggyo, Gwanghwagyo, Dorimgyo, and Gocheokgyo, as well as replacing the old pump at the Gaebong 1 Rainwater Pump Station.
