It is the 76th anniversary of Constitution Day. We express our gratitude and respect for the dedication of the ancestors who upheld the spirit and values of the Constitution.
On July 17, 1948, the Constitution explicitly stated 'local autonomy,' and with the promulgation of the Local Autonomy Act, the first Seoul Metropolitan Council was inaugurated.
On this Constitution Day, the 11th People Power Party of the Seoul Metropolitan Council reflects once again on the dedication of our predecessors and the core values of the steadfast Constitution as we prepare to begin the second half of our legislative activities.
We pledge to complete an active and strong organizational structure to take the lead in resolving pressing livelihood issues.
As a responsible ruling party at the center of Seoul's local decentralization, we will once again honor the spirit of the Constitution for the citizens of Seoul and strive first to create a working council and a council where law and principles stand firm.
