Medical Volunteer Service in Yulgok-myeon, Hapcheon-gun
Gyeongnam Nonghyup and Hapcheon-gun in Gyeongnam held a "Rural House Call Bus" medical service on the 18th in Yulgok-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, providing medical care to over 200 local farmers and residents to address the shortage of healthcare services in rural areas.
The "Rural House Call Bus" (formerly the Farmer Happiness Bus) is a project that offers comprehensive medical services such as medical checkups, oral examinations, vision tests, and reading glasses support to residents in rural areas where medical facilities such as hospitals and pharmacies are lacking.

The event was attended by Hapcheon County Mayor Kim Yuncheol, Gyeongnam Nonghyup Director Cho Geunsu, Regional Social Contribution Department Head Son Youngmin, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Social Service Manager Kim Sanghyun, Hapcheon-gun Branch Manager Noh Sunhyeon, and Yulgok Nonghyup Cooperative President Kang Hoyoon.
Healthcare professionals from the Integrated Health and Medical Volunteer Group participated to provide both Western and Korean traditional medical services, along with vision tests, reading glasses, and nail art services.
President Kang said, "Thank you for giving farmers, who are exhausted from farm work, a great opportunity to take care of their health through the diverse medical welfare services of the Rural House Call Bus. Yulgok Nonghyup will continue to lead efforts to improve the quality of life and welfare of farmers."
Director Cho said, "We are pleased to provide mobile medical services to elderly rural residents who have difficulty visiting medical institutions. Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to strive to sustain various welfare projects for farmers in the future."
