Campaign Conducted in 10 Cities and Counties Including Jindo-gun Throughout July
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Hee-soo) held an eco-friendly campaign titled "One Day, One Time, Learn and Plog" on the 15th at the Jindo-gun Women's Plaza, with about 50 members of the Saemaeul Association participating.
According to the county on the 18th, the campaign is part of the 2024 Jeonnam-style Ecological Learning City Creation Project, selected through a public contest by Jeollanam-do. It has been promoted for two years to encourage carbon neutrality practices in residents' daily lives and to attract COP33 to Jeollanam-do. Ten cities and counties, including Jindo-gun, plan to conduct the campaign throughout July.

A county official stated, "To continuously develop Jindo-gun's beautiful ecological environment, we will do our best to promote not only plogging campaigns but also various ecological environment education programs."
Meanwhile, as part of this project, Jindo-gun has operated a visiting ecological environment classroom for first and second graders at Jindo Elementary School, and plans to continue programs such as producing eco-friendly products using bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) and creating mini flower gardens for the elderly.
