Munich vs Tottenham Match Halftime Show Highlights
NewJeans will shine in the match featuring Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Kim Min-jae (Munich).
Coupang Play announced on the 18th that NewJeans has been confirmed as the team to perform the halftime show for the '2024 Coupang Play Series' professional soccer match between Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
They are an idol group that receives enthusiastic responses from fans worldwide with every song they release. Among K-pop artists, they reached the top of the Billboard main album chart, the 'Billboard 200,' in the shortest period (1 year). Their debut single in Japan last month, "Supernatural," also sold over 1 million copies. Since their debut in July 2022, all five albums they have released have become million sellers.
NewJeans stated, "We are excited to perform the halftime show for the dream match between Munich and Tottenham in the Coupang Play Series," adding, "We will present a stage that will heat up the excitement of the stadium even more."
The second match of the Coupang Play Series between Munich and Tottenham will be held at 8 p.m. on the 3rd of next month at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. National team center-back Kim Min-jae will play for Munich, and national team captain Son Heung-min will play for Tottenham. Tottenham is visiting Korea for the first time in two years since the 2022 Coupang Play Series. Munich is visiting Korea for the first time since its founding in 1900.
Earlier, Coupang Play selected TWICE as the team to perform the halftime show for the first match between Team K League and Tottenham.
