Mayor Kim said, "We have recently established differentiated corporate support policies through the Investment Promotion Ordinance," adding, "We will foster high value-added advanced industries through the operation of an investment attraction task force (TF) team and customized corporate services." Earlier in May, through the enactment of the ordinance, it was decided to provide subsidies of up to 3 billion KRW to companies investing more than 20 billion KRW.

Since taking office, Mayor Kim has devoted efforts to fostering the semiconductor industry. In addition to establishing the Advanced Future City Promotion Team, she signed a business agreement with Yongin City for talent development, expansion of connecting road networks between major facilities, and attraction of material, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) companies.

Mayor Kim expressed confidence, saying, "For the large-scale semiconductor belt being established in Yongin to succeed, talent development is essential," and "Icheon City will become a hub for nurturing semiconductor talent." She also revealed plans to develop the Daewol 2 Industrial Complex, which is being created on a scale of 380,000 pyeong, into a semiconductor SoBuJang complex.

Mayor Kim also plans to actively expand the childbirth encouragement policies she has worked on for two years. She explained, "This year, we opened the 'Childcare Center,' the first in the nation to provide 24/7 childcare services year-round," and "We are also promoting the construction of the Dream Center, a complex cultural space for children."

She also showed determination to re-pursue the municipal crematorium project, which was twice canceled after being initiated in 2019. Mayor Kim said, "Currently, there are about 3 to 4 places hoping to host it," and "We will definitely finalize a new candidate site within this year through active dialogue." However, she added that "the existing public contest method, which revealed problems, will not be chosen."

In the direction of city administration for the second half of the term, Mayor Kim also emphasized strengthening 'youth policies.' She stated, "Currently, 13.4 billion KRW is being invested in 54 youth policy projects across 4 fields," and emphasized, "We will create various youth policies that connect education, employment, marriage, and settlement through demand-tailored youth policies."

Efforts are also being made to improve residential conditions. Recently, the city created a 1 km long loess road on Seolbongsan Mountain, and plans to complete the 'Icheon Areum-gil,' a 20 km long urban circular trail, within this month. Along with this, Mayor Kim plans to establish 8 sports facilities and sports parks within the city. By the end of the year, the 'Bokhacheon Comprehensive Ecological Waterfront Park,' equipped with a large-scale camping site, theme forest, lawn plaza, water play facilities, and cafes, is scheduled to be completed.

Mayor Kim explained, "In the second half of the term, we will also focus our capabilities on expanding the transportation network." She plans to expand 82 arterial road networks, including metropolitan transportation networks such as Dongicheon IC, Bubal Hi-Pass IC, the Seongnam-Janghowon expressway, and National Road No. 70, as well as related urban planning roads, city roads, and rural roads.

Mayor Kim said, "Over the past two years, I have listened to and worked tirelessly day and night to resolve citizens' inconveniences," adding, "If citizens have any inconveniences in the future, I will go anywhere to listen as much as possible and improve them."
