Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, is implementing the '2024 Vacation Care Program for Students with Disabilities' through the Yangsan Branch of the Gyeongnam Parents' Solidarity for the Disabled, the Ungsang General Social Welfare Center, and the Sinabro Welfare Center to ensure there are no gaps in education and care for students with disabilities during school vacations.

The main aspects of the care program include safe daytime care and daily living support during the vacation period, operation of leisure activity programs such as cooking and art, and various external experiential activities (such as movie watching and cultural experiences). Through these services, the program aims to alleviate the economic, time, and psychological burdens on parents raising children with disabilities, establish a stable care safety net, and enhance the self-reliance skills of children with disabilities by providing continuous education and diverse experiences.


This summer vacation care program will be held at the Yangsan Branch of the Gyeongnam Parents' Solidarity for the Disabled from July 8 to 19, at the Ungsang General Social Welfare Center from July 29 to August 23, and at the Sinabro Welfare Center from July 22 to August 16.


An official from Yangsan City stated, "We will continue to strengthen care and educational services for children with disabilities by communicating with parents raising children with disabilities and with staff from care service institutions, so that no child with disabilities is left without support."
