Korea Social Investment - Seoul National University Technology Holdings Sign Business Agreement
Including 'Discovering and Nurturing Social Innovation Ventures'
Korea Social Investment announced on the 18th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seoul National University Technology Holdings for the "Development of the Impact Investment Ecosystem and the Promotion and Investment Cooperation of Social Innovation Ventures."

The signing ceremony took place at Seoul National University Technology Holdings in Gwanak, Seoul, attended by Lee Jong-ik, CEO of Korea Social Investment, and Mok Seung-hwan, CEO of Seoul National University Technology Holdings. The main areas of cooperation include "information exchange for the development of the impact investment ecosystem," "discovery and promotion of social innovation ventures," and "collaboration for investment and expansion of investment in social innovation ventures."
Korea Social Investment, established in 2012 as a public interest corporation and an impact and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment firm, provides investment, accelerating, and ESG consulting to startups solving social problems. It has strengths in investments and accelerating in climate tech, social services, agtech, and global sectors. To date, it has executed a total of 66.3 billion KRW in impact investments (loans, investments, grants, etc.).
Seoul National University Technology Holdings was established in 2008 to support startups and investment activities utilizing excellent technologies, personnel, and intellectual property (IP) owned by Seoul National University. Its assets under management (AUM) exceed 100 billion KRW, making it the largest university technology holding company in Korea. Seoul National University Technology Holdings manages a total of 12 funds and has invested in 191 companies.
CEO Lee Jong-ik emphasized, "We will strive to develop the impact business ecosystem by expanding the promotion and investment in social innovation ventures that create a better world."
CEO Mok Seung-hwan said, "We will contribute to revitalizing the ecosystem through more systematic investment and promotion programs."
