Awarding 60 Volunteers for Their Contributions
The Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam held the '2024 First Half Volunteer Service and Good Deed Citizen Commendation Ceremony' at the City Hall Citizen Hall on the 17th to encourage citizens who have contributed to the welfare and development of the local community.

At the award ceremony, 60 Jinju citizen volunteers who have led by example and worked tirelessly for the development of the region through their dedicated volunteer service and good deeds were honored.
Chairman Baek Seunghung said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the volunteers in towns and villages who are always working hard to prevent and overcome natural and social disasters, which are occurring more frequently due to climate change." As the chairman for the second half of the 9th council, he added, "I will strive to create a council that harmonizes through dialogue and communication, a council that is dedicated to policy development and excellence, and a beloved council that emphasizes humility and practicality."
The Jinju City Council plans to continue encouraging volunteer activities and good deeds by citizens by discovering exemplary citizens and recognizing their efforts through commendations in the second half of this year as well.
