According to the National Hangeul Museum on the 18th, the promotional leaflet was printed using a mixture of Korean and Chinese characters. It consists of three pages and includes the logo of the production company Shin Film and illustrations, as well as text such as "촬영소 (撮影所) News." Shin Film is the film company founded by director Shin.

According to the Korean Film Archive, Ganghwado-ryeong is a film adaptation of a radio drama that was popular on HLKA, the predecessor of KBS Radio. It depicts the story of Lee Won-beom, who lived quietly in Ganghwa, ascending to become Cheoljong, the 25th king of Joseon. The film starred Choi Eun-hee and Shin Young-kyun, among others. It premiered at the Myeongbo Theater in Seoul and was a major box office success.

The leaflet contains an "explanation" introducing the film and its synopsis. Promotional phrases such as "The tough and hearty man Ganghwado-ryeong" and "A late Joseon dynasty palace historical drama" are also included. Expressions like "스탶 (staff)" and "캬스 (casting)" listing the crew and cast names stand out as well.
