Present at the signing ceremony will be Bae Byeongcheol, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau of Busan, Do Ukyoung, President of the Busan Parents’ Association for the Disabled, and Cho Changyong, President of the Busan Disabled People’s Federation. They will discuss the design of the second Busan Disabled City Tour Narae Bus, which will be unveiled in October, and sign the agreement.

Since June last year, the city, together with the Busan Disabled People’s Federation, has been operating the first Narae Bus for the disabled, establishing city tour routes for the first time in the country.

The service operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, along the East Busan and West Busan routes as its main lines. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, it also accepts reservations for tours outside the city in addition to the city tour.

The design of the first Narae Bus featured eight works by students from the 10th Computer Design Training Class at the Busan Cerebral Palsy Welfare Center.

If the agreement is signed, the winning works from the '2024 Busan Developmental Disabilities Drawing Contest' will be used in the design of the second Disabled City Tour Narae Bus, which is planned to be introduced with sponsorship funds from Dongil (President Kim Jonggak) for projects supporting vulnerable groups in the Busan area.

All 50 winning works from the 13th “Another World with Pictures: 2024 Busan Developmental Disabilities Drawing Contest” will be on display at Exhibition Hall 1 on the second floor of City Hall until noon on the 19th.

Bae Byeongcheol, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau of Busan, stated, “By using the artworks of people with developmental disabilities for the exterior design of the second Busan Disabled City Tour Narae Bus, which is scheduled to launch in October, we expect not only to boost the pride of disabled artists but also to greatly contribute to future public awareness campaigns for disability inclusion.”
