Rapid Increase in Subscribers Mainly Among 2030 Generation
For the first time in the domestic leisure industry, the number of Everland online membership subscribers has exceeded 5 million.
Samsung C&T Resort Division's Everland announced on the 18th that the cumulative number of members of the integrated membership program "Somsatang," newly launched last November, surpassed 5 million in just 8 months. This means that one out of every ten people in South Korea has joined, and it is the first time that a large-scale leisure facility like Everland has exceeded 5 million membership subscribers.
Everland analyzed that the number of subscribers has steadily increased since the launch, as anyone can join for free through the mobile app and receive various benefits such as points accumulation and discounts. In particular, the biggest advantage is that members can accumulate Som Points, which can be used like cash up to 8% of the amount spent at Everland, depending on their membership grade. Previously, only season pass customers (former annual members) could accumulate points. In addition to Som Points accumulation, various additional benefits are provided, including discount coupons for Everland and Caribbean Bay, free parking at the main gate, and invitations to special events.
An Everland official said, "The benefits of the Somsatang membership have become well known mainly among the 2030 generation who are highly interested in leisure and culture and value reasonable consumption, and the number of subscribers is rapidly increasing across all age groups."
To celebrate surpassing 5 million Somsatang members, Everland will hold customer appreciation events such as inviting families with multiple children, the 5 million Som (5 million won) flex, and the six-character Somchunmunye contest. From August 1st, a roulette prize event will be held for 15 days on the Everland mobile app, giving gifts such as Wotou Sandwich and Aibao Mug Cup from Panda World Cafe, and Som Points that can be used like cash at Everland to all visitors.
An Everland official emphasized, "We are grateful to the customers who have given much love and support until the Somsatang membership surpassed 5 million," and added, "We plan to further strengthen customized products and services by analyzing members' usage patterns and data in detail."
