Oh Eon-seok, Dobong-gu Mayor, Checks Heavy Rain Response Situation

On June 17, Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, inspected the heavy rain response situation targeting flood-prone areas and facilities such as the Jungnangcheon riverside walking trail due to the heavy rain across Seoul.

After touring the Jungnangcheon area and the Hwangtotgil trail, Mayor Oh requested accompanying staff to "conduct surveillance to prevent damage at all habitual flood zones, rainwater drains, and construction sites, and to manage thoroughly to prevent safety accidents caused by unregulated river embankment roads and underground passages." He also instructed, "Please manage the Hwangtotgil trail, which is frequently used by residents, thoroughly during the rainy season."

From July 16 to 5 p.m. on July 17, 2024, Dobong-gu recorded a daily rainfall of 82mm.
