On the 17th, the FTC dispatched investigators to the headquarters of Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, as well as Yogiyo and Coupang Eats to conduct on-site inspections. It is reported that the FTC initiated the investigation after detecting signs of unfair practices by these companies, which dominate most of the delivery app market.

However, this investigation is said to be unrelated to the core issue of 'commission fee increases' pointed out in delivery apps.

The government plans to soon hold a win-win council meeting involving delivery platforms and small business owners to discuss cooperative measures related to issues such as commission fees.

An FTC official stated, "We cannot confirm details of the ongoing investigation," but added, "If any legal violations are found, we will respond strictly."
