Jeju Coast Guard Station (Chief Ji Guk-hyun) conducted the "Visiting Coastal Safety Class," an initiative of proactive administration, at Ara Middle School and Donghwa Elementary School.
According to Jeju Coast Guard on the 17th, this coastal safety class was promoted to prevent coastal safety accidents and spread marine safety culture in line with the "Safety Inspection Week."

Jeju Coast Guard officers participated as instructors in this coastal safety class, providing education to 40 third-grade students at Ara Middle School the previous day and 72 fifth-grade students at Donghwa Elementary School on the day.
Starting with an introduction to the Coast Guard, the education covered water play safety rules, coastal accident response methods, proper life jacket wearing techniques, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), aiming to prevent water play safety accidents as the vacation period approaches for students in the province.
Based on the theory learned through the coastal safety class, Donghwa Elementary School plans to learn survival swimming at Samyang Beach over two days, from the 22nd to the 23rd, through the Jeju Regional Coast Guard and Jeju Coast Guard Station.
A Jeju Coast Guard official said, "We hope that correct water play safety rules, such as wearing life jackets, become ingrained from childhood through the coastal safety class so that children can enjoy water activities safely," adding, "We will continue to do our best to spread marine safety culture as Jeju Coast Guard."
