Yangsan Public Youth Facility Holds Meeting Between Youth Steering Committee and Institution Heads

A Forum to Discuss Youth-Proposed Ideas for the Development and Improvement of Training Facilities

On the 13th, the Youth Steering Committee of the Yangsan City Public Youth Training Facilities (Yangsan City Youth Center and Soju Youth Culture House) held a meeting with the facility directors.

During this meeting, the Youth Steering Committee shared a variety of opinions collected through monitoring the training facilities and conducting surveys among users.

The Youth Steering Committee of the Youth Center (Ddokddi) suggested the installation of bulletin boards and information maps, improvement of the dance practice room, installation of blinds, and remodeling of the multipurpose room. The Youth Steering Committee of the Youth Culture House (Dandi) proposed purchasing equipment for the multi-purpose room, installing electronic drums, and running programs related to the video room.

Kang Jeongsuk, the director of both Yangsan City Public Youth Training Facilities (and head of the Women and Youth Division of Yangsan City Hall), expressed, "I deeply appreciate the valuable opinions of the Youth Steering Committee, and I will do my best to reflect as many suggestions as possible." She also encouraged the continued development of the committee's activities and active participation from the youth.

This meeting provided a meaningful opportunity for the Youth Steering Committee to directly discuss their ideas for facility improvement with the directors. The committee will continue to represent the voices of young people and strive for the ongoing development of the training facilities.

The Youth Steering Committee of the Youth Training Facilities is an autonomous organization established and operated in accordance with Articles 2 and 5 of the 'Framework Act on Youth' and Article 4 of the 'Youth Activity Promotion Act.' It enables youth to directly participate in consulting and evaluation, making them the true owners of the facilities.
