Shinpyeong "Kim Yeosa called me too... advised me to apologize for the 'Dior bag suspicion'"

"Jin Joong-kwon, Who Exposed Phone Call, Crossed the Line of Courtesy"

Attorney Shin Pyeong revealed that when First Lady Kim Keon-hee sought his advice regarding the suspicion of receiving a luxury bag, he advised her that "apologizing could lead to bigger problems."

Shin, who is considered to be part of the pro-Yoon (President Yoon Suk-yeol) faction, said on the SBS radio program 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' on the 17th, "I cannot disclose all the details," but added, "Mrs. Kim spoke at length and even showed me the messages exchanged with Pastor Choi Jae-young." He continued, "After fully understanding the situation, I recall advising her, 'This is something you should not apologize for,' and that 'apologizing could cause bigger problems.'

Regarding Special Appointment Professor Jin Joong-kwon of Kwangwoon University, who revealed the call details with Mrs. Kim, Shin criticized, "I did not utter a single word about the call with Mrs. Kim, and I do not intend to do so in the future," adding, "Revealing every detail about seeking advice is a breach of basic courtesy."

Attorney Shin pointed out, "Mrs. Kim must have sought advice from Professor Jin in a desperate state, but what would happen if a priest who hears a confession exposes the secrets of a parishioner?" He emphasized, "When discussing such matters, one must consider at least the minimum human decency and common sense." He also said, "The content Professor Jin disclosed was written unilaterally by him," and questioned, "Isn't Mrs. Kim in a position where she cannot refute that the content is incorrect?"

Earlier, Professor Jin claimed that he spoke with Mrs. Kim for about 57 minutes right after the general election regarding the apology for the Dior bag suspicion. On the 10th, he wrote on social media, "At that time, Mrs. Kim said that the failure to apologize publicly was entirely her responsibility, and that she was willing to apologize but was strongly discouraged by those around her," adding, "The logic was that once you apologize, you have to keep apologizing, and eventually, the administration could be at risk." Professor Jin also conveyed that Mrs. Kim urged, "If you ever judge that there is a problem, please let me know by phone anytime."
