Previously, a 37-year-old couple of the same age in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, gave birth to their seventh child, a healthy 3.3 kg baby boy, on the 20th of last month, becoming a large family. After hearing this news, Lotte Wellfood decided to support the couple with Pasteur infant formula needed for one year to promote the healthy and happy growth of children in large families.
On the 15th, Lotte Wellfood visited the recipient’s home to celebrate the birth of the seventh child and delivered products such as Pasteur With Mom C-section, Pasteur Baby C-section probiotics, as well as a newborn jacket, baby carrier, baby bottles, and other birth celebration gift sets, promising continuous support in the future.
The Pasteur With Mom C-section product delivered this time is an infant formula designed with abundant probiotics considering the health of newborns delivered naturally. It is scientifically formulated to respond to changes in the birth environment, such as the fact that cesarean deliveries now exceed half of all births. It contains patented ingredients such as Bifidobacterium longum (B. longum) probiotics that help increase beneficial gut bacteria and suppress harmful bacteria, and EPS probiotic metabolites recognized for their ability to inhibit rotavirus, a major cause of severe diarrhea in infants.
A Lotte Wellfood official said, "We decided on this sponsorship to express our congratulations and respect to the large family who gave birth to their seventh child healthily," adding, "We will continue to seek ways to support childbirth and childcare so that large families can receive various benefits closely related to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Lotte Wellfood is carrying out various activities to contribute to overcoming the low birthrate problem in Korea. A representative example is the business agreement (MOU) signed with the Army Headquarters in 2021 to expand welfare support for the army. The main content of the agreement is to support childbirth and childcare-related welfare. Including a military family that gave birth to quintuplets for the first time in 34 years in Korea, Lotte Wellfood has supported over 15,000 cans of Pasteur infant formula to army officer families expecting childbirth so far. In addition, it holds online and offline parenting classes for pregnant women and mothers to provide information for healthy childbirth and proper childcare.
