July to October at Busan Cinema Center and Haeundae River Cruise Dock... Movies and Food
Tickets available from 5 p.m. on the 17th at the official Busan Food Film Festa website
Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Tourism Organization will host a total of six "Cinema Food Terrace" events, combining gourmet experiences with movies, from July to October.
This project, part of the International Tourism City Development Initiative, is being promoted in collaboration with the Busan Food Film Festa to promote Busan as a city of film and to develop tourism products linked to movies.
In June, it was held twice at the Busan Cinema Center in conjunction with the "2024 Food Film Festa."
"Cinema Food Terrace" is a program where participants can enjoy stories while tasting foods featured in movies during film screenings.
The program consists of: the "Signature" type, where guests can enjoy Busan's popular yacht tour; the "Standard" type, where visitors can watch movies with Busan craft beer and dried seafood and participate in discussions with the audience; and the "Cinema Concert," which features live performances of movie music.
The "Signature" program will take place on July 26 and 27 at the Busan Cinema Center and Haeundae River Cruise Dock.
Films to be screened include "Alcarras" directed by Carla Simon and "Call Me by Your Name" directed by Luca Guadagnino. Attendees can enjoy discussions about the movies, taste foods featured in the films, and experience the romance of the river cruise.
The "Standard" program is scheduled for August 23 and 24, while the "Cinema Concert" will be held in September and October.
The programs are ticketed events. Tickets can be reserved on the official Busan Food Film Festa website starting at 5 p.m. on the 17th.
Detailed schedules and information about the programs can be found on the Visit Busan tourism portal and the official channels of the Busan Tourism Organization.
Park Geunrok, Director of the Tourism MICE Bureau, said, "We hope that tourists visiting Busan will be able to enjoy movies year-round through a variety of film-related events," adding, "The city will continue to develop programs full of engaging experiences to promote Busan as a city of film and an international tourism destination."
