Daejeon TP Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center Achieves 'A Grade' for Three Consecutive Years in Performance Evaluation Daejeon Technopark / Daejeon TP

Daejeon Technopark announced that its Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center received an A grade for three consecutive years in the performance evaluation conducted by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Daejeon TP was recognized for supporting the digital transformation and manufacturing process innovation of Daejeon-based companies by alleviating their burdens through the Daejeon-type smart factory construction support project and city budget matching support, despite reductions in government funding.

In last year's smart factory dissemination project, Fiberpro Co., Ltd., a company specializing in fiber optic sensor technology, achieved a 24.5% increase in sales from 15.5 billion KRW in 2020 to 19.3 billion KRW in 2023 after adopting the system.

Since 2019, the Daejeon Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center has been promoting projects that apply advanced technologies such as control devices and sensors to automation equipment and provide smart solutions to improve product design, production processes, production management, and inventory management for local small and medium-sized enterprises.

Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon TP, said, "The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center is a representative project of the government-led 'Manufacturing Industry 4th Industrial Revolution,'" and added, "We will continue to support Daejeon companies so they can achieve both quantitative and qualitative growth through digitalization and advancement."
