Renault Korea is starting mass production of the new mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), the 'New Renault Grand Koleos.'
On the 16th, Renault Korea announced that it held a ceremony to commemorate the start of mass production and the production of the first Grand Koleos at its Busan plant the previous day.
The Grand Koleos is a new model introduced by Renault Korea for the first time in four years since the XM3 in 2020. It was first unveiled at the recent '2024 Busan Mobility Show' and is scheduled to be delivered to customers starting this fall.
It features the largest wheelbase in its class at 2820mm (distance between front and rear axles) and uses ultra-high-strength 'Hot Press Forming (HPF)' parts for 18% of the body.
For the first time in a domestic model, the display extends to the front passenger seat, offering various content such as online video streaming services (OTT). 5G data will be provided free of charge for five years.
Level 2 autonomous driving 'Active Driver Assist' is standard on all trims. Real-time T-map navigation and the voice recognition system 'NUGU Auto' are also provided as standard features.
The powertrain options include hybrid, gasoline turbo 2WD, and gasoline turbo 4WD. The vehicle is currently on display at Renault Seongsu, Starfield Suwon, Suwon Service Center, Busan Dongnae Service Center, and Daejeon Service Center.
