On the 13th, a post titled "I run an unmanned cafe, and customers messed up the store" was uploaded to an online community. The author, Mr. A, who operates a 24/7 unmanned cafe, began by saying, "Three people, presumed to be middle school students, came in at dawn and behaved thoughtlessly for five hours."

According to Mr. A, these customers brought outside food into the cafe and ate it. After eating, one student vomited on the cafe floor. However, they left the store without cleaning up the mess they made. Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "They spilled milk bought outside on the floor and left other outside trash inside the store."

Mr. A said, "They did not purchase any drinks sold at the cafe," adding, "They were wearing school gym uniforms, so the specific middle school has been identified. They even left an ID photo, so it seems possible to find out who they are." He continued, "I reported it to the police, but is it okay to call the middle school and inform them of this? This is the first time I've had such a ridiculous experience, so I need help. In this case, will the kids be punished?"

Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "Inform the middle school quickly," "If they are middle school students, the damage must have been significant, so it's surprising they behaved like that," "How can someone vomit and run away without cleaning it up?" and "The fact that they didn't even order a drink is the most infuriating." Another netizen, Mr. B, who also runs an unmanned cafe, advised, "Even if you contact the middle school, the homeroom teacher will probably just give them a stern warning and that will be it," adding, "Since they are underage offenders, they won't receive any serious punishment. For now, the best solution seems to be contacting the kids' parents and getting compensation."

Meanwhile, a "chokbeopsonyeon" (delinquent juvenile) refers to a criminal minor aged 10 or older but under 14 who commits an act punishable by law. Article 9 of the Criminal Act states, "Acts committed by persons under the age of 14 shall not be punished." Since they lack criminal responsibility, even if they commit acts violating criminal law, they are not subject to criminal punishment but may be sent to juvenile detention centers or placed under probation based on family court decisions.

The Juvenile Act defines a "juvenile" as a person under 19 years old. Juvenile offenders are classified by age into ▲delinquent juveniles (under 10 years old) ▲chokbeopsonyeon (10 years old to under 14) ▲criminal juveniles (14 years old to under 19). Among these, delinquent juveniles are not subject to any legal punishment.
