On the 14th (local time), at the Renaissance Club (Par 70, 7,237 yards) in North Berwick, Scotland, the Genesis Scottish Open, co-hosted by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) with a total prize money of $9 million, concluded with MacIntyre finishing at the top with 18-under-par 262. This marked his second PGA Tour victory since last month's RBC Canadian Open, earning a winner's prize of $1,575,000 (approximately 2.2 billion KRW). His world ranking rose from 44th last week to 16th.

In the final 4th round, he lost one stroke over 13 holes and seemed far from victory, but changed the momentum with a birdie on the 14th hole (Par 3), followed by an eagle on the 16th hole (Par 5) and a birdie on the 18th hole (Par 4) to overturn the competition. The birdie on the 18th hole in a tie situation was spectacular. Although his tee shot landed in the rough, his second shot landed 22.1 feet (about 6.74 meters) from the hole. Had he missed the one-putt, he might have faced a playoff with Adam Scott (Australia), but he finished the match with a fantastic clutch putt.

MacIntyre is a player who has won 2 PGA Tour titles and 3 DP World Tour titles. His green play was outstanding in this tournament. He used a TaylorMade Spider Tour putter. Although it has slightly less distance control, it is a mallet-type product with excellent straightness. Over four days, he recorded an average of 1.68 putts per hole on par-on holes (9th place), gaining an advantage in the race for the championship.
