Yoo Hae-ran 5th Place... Furue "I Am the Major Queen" Yoo Hae-ran

On the 14th (local time), at the Evian Resort Golf Club (par 71, 6,527 yards) in the southeastern French resort town of Evian-les-Bains, Yoo Hae-ran shot a 6-under-par in the 4th round of the Amundi Evian Championship, the fourth major tournament of this year's LPGA Tour with a total prize money of $8 million, finishing 5th (13-under-par 271). This marks her third top-5 finish and sixth top-10 finish of the year.

Starting from a tie for 12th place, 7 strokes behind, Yoo recorded one eagle, six birdies, and two bogeys. She managed only a 1-stroke reduction with three birdies and two bogeys over 14 holes. However, she climbed the ranks with three consecutive birdies from holes 15 to 17, followed by an eagle on the final 18th hole (par 5). Her precise iron shots, missing the green only twice, powered her performance. Among Korean players participating in this tournament, she posted the best result.

Ayaka Furue (Japan) made a comeback victory by shooting 6-under-par (19-under-par 265) and dramatically secured an eagle on the 18th hole to overturn the lead. This is her second career win in two years since the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open in July 2022, with a winner's prize of $1.2 million (approximately 1.65 billion KRW). Stephanie Kyriacou (Australia), who was the leader the previous day, shot 4-under-par but dropped to 2nd place (18-under-par 266). Patty Tavatanakit (Thailand) finished 3rd (17-under-par 267), and Lauren Coughlin (USA) took 4th place (15-under-par 269).

Choi Hye-jin, who was tied for 5th the previous day, shot 1-under-par and fell to a tie for 7th place (10-under-par 274). Kim Hyo-joo, Shin Ji-eun, and An Na-rin tied for 12th place (8-under-par 276), and Lee So-mi finished tied for 17th (7-under-par 277). World No. 1 Nelly Korda and No. 2 Lilia Vu (both USA) remained tied for 26th place (5-under-par 279). World No. 3 Ko Jin-young tied for 35th (4-under-par 280), defending champion C?line Boutier (France) tied for 39th (3-under-par 281), and Paris Olympic member Yang Hee-young tied for 63rd (7-over-par 291).
