Repeated Emphasis on Attending the Wisconsin Convention
Donald Trump, former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate, emphasized American unity on his social media platform 'Truth Social' on the 14th (local time).
Former President Trump wrote, "At this moment, we must unite and show our true selves as Americans," adding, "It is more important than ever to act strongly and decisively to ensure that evil does not prevail."
He continued, "I truly love our country, love all of you, and look forward to speaking about our great nation this week in Wisconsin, where the convention is being held." The Republican National Convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting on the 15th.
Earlier, while campaigning in Butler, Pennsylvania, former President Trump was suddenly shot multiple times. A bullet passed through the upper part of his right ear, causing injury.
Trump expressed, "I am grateful for the many concerns and prayers," adding, "Only God prevented something unimaginable from happening."
He further stated, "I will not be afraid; instead, I will maintain resilience through faith and fight against evil," and expressed condolences to the victims and their families, prayed for the recovery of the injured, and said he holds in his heart the memory of the citizen who was so tragically killed.
