On the 14th, EcoPro announced that it has built a vision AI integrated control safety system at the EcoPro BM Ochang plant in collaboration with Grip, a specialized AIoT developer.
Through this, instead of humans individually monitoring CCTV to determine the occurrence of fires or safety accidents, AI learns and analyzes CCTV footage based on deep learning to immediately notify whether an accident has occurred, enabling prompt action.
This system monitors safety risk factors that could lead to major disasters in real time, including fire prevention, prevention of human casualties, and pre-detection of intrusions. In particular, 24-hour real-time monitoring compensates for the limitations where on-site personnel at the integrated disaster prevention center could not always monitor, and allows efficient management of the locations of CCTVs installed throughout the factory.
Lee Su-ho, Executive Director of EcoPro, said, "To strengthen competitiveness in the secondary battery materials business and ensure safety management, we applied AI technology to establish an optimal disaster safety response system." He added, "We plan to continuously upgrade the vision AI integrated control safety system to enhance its completeness."
