The masterpiece musical "What If," composed by Professor Lee Wooyoung of Tongmyong University, will be staged as an invited work at the 24th Miryang Performing Arts Festival.
The Miryang Performing Arts Festival, a representative local cultural brand, is celebrating its 24th edition this year. "What If" will be showcased as an invited performance on the 28th.
Professor Lee Wooyoung, currently teaching at the Department of Entertainment Arts at Tongmyong University, began his career in the pop music industry by participating in the album production of singer Kim Bumsoo. He later worked at the Seoul Performing Arts Company under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, where he was responsible for musicals, convergence sound, and music producing. Starting next year, the Department of Entertainment Arts at Tongmyong University will be reorganized as the Department of Entertainment Arts, offering education encompassing K-Pop Digital Music, Video Content, and Artificial Intelligence Art Engineering (AT).
In this production, Professor Lee Wooyoung is striving to provide the audience with a more unique sound experience. The masterpiece musical "What If" is a delightful romantic comedy that unfolds by asking the audience, "If you could make five wishes to make your one-sided love come true, what wishes would you make?"
This invited performance features musical actors Lee Junghwi, Park Taejoon, Yoon Jinwoong, Kim Junghyuk, as well as Pyo Hyemi, a former member of the popular girl group Nine Muses.
