On the 12th, after promoting a win-win cooperation project in Sinan County, Jeollanam-do, and visiting the birthplace of former President Kim Dae-jung on Haedo Island in Sinan County, Governor Kim posted on his social media, introducing a passage from former President Kim Dae-jung’s autobiography, saying, "The hardy crown daisy that endured the winter once answered the question, 'Why did you start politics?' with these words."
"I concluded that without true democracy that serves the people, the people cannot enjoy true happiness. Therefore, I came to believe that if politics finds its proper place, everything else will fall into place."
Governor Kim then asked himself, "As former President Kim Dae-jung said in his autobiography, if politics only finds its proper place, will all the worries of the country and its people disappear?" and answered boldly, "I would dare to say 'yes.'"
He added, "I especially believe that only when politics finds its proper place and fulfills its role can we walk the path of democracy, people's livelihood, and peace again."
Earlier on the 12th, Governor Kim visited Purple Island in Sinan County and promised active support, stating that Gyeonggi Province will do what it can to develop it into a 'world-class tourist destination.'
