"‘2000nyeon-ui gidarim’ Experiencing the Beauty and Life of Nature"
The 1004 Islands Bonsai Garden in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, will hold a special exhibition of yew trees from the 13th to the 28th.
According to the county on the 12th, this exhibition will showcase Korea's finest yew bonsai works along with a 2,000-year-old yew tree carefully maintained in a protective room.
The yew tree has been loved for its unique beauty and outstanding vitality. At this exhibition, visitors can appreciate various forms of the yew tree, and along the path to the exhibition hall, summer flowers called Crocosmia create waves of orange, welcoming guests.
A county official said, "The yew tree is considered one of the most beautiful trees in Korea, and we have prepared a special exhibition to highlight its beauty even more," adding, "We hope visitors will have the opportunity to directly experience the beauty of the yew tree and gain a deep understanding of its characteristics and ecology."
In particular, the main attraction of this exhibition, the 2,000-year-old yew tree, is expected to receive praise from visitors for its unique appearance and historical value. This special opportunity, available only at the 1004 Islands Bonsai Garden, is regarded as an event not to be missed by nature lovers.
The exhibition is held under the theme "Yew Bonsai, 2,000 Years of Waiting," offering a precious time to feel the beauty that has endured through the long years of the yew tree.
