The Naju Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center establishes safety management standards at all stages from receipt, manufacturing, processing, to distribution, focusing on hazard factors, using agricultural specialty products produced locally as the main raw materials.
The city evaluates that by obtaining this HACCP certification, the safety of processed agricultural specialty products from Naju has been externally recognized.
Currently, Building 1 of the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center operates as Jeollanam-do’s first shared kitchen business, actively working together with local farmers.
Building 2, which received the HACCP certification this time, is planned to operate as a specialized beverage line using fruit and vegetable products such as pears and melons, supporting the production of various beverage items for local farms.
The city provides HACCP hygiene and safety management education to farmers and others using the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center to support the production of safe food.
In addition, the city plans to continue offering the Agricultural Products Processing Startup Academy education to help increase the added value of agricultural products and produce competitive products.
A city official said, “We will actively support the Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Center in Naju to help increase farmers’ off-farm income.”
