Kumho Tire Selected as Tire Supplier for Alpine One-Make Race

Kumho Tire once again demonstrated the technology and competitiveness of its high-performance tires by exclusively supplying tires for the 2024 O-NE Superrace Championship 'Alpine Class,' held at Everland Speedway on the 13th.

Based on decades of accumulated motorsport technology, Kumho Tire was selected as the official tire for the Renault high-performance car one-make race, the 'Alpine Class,' proving its advanced tire technology. Through this event, the company plans to showcase top-tier high-performance tire technology to consumers worldwide and enhance its status as a global premium brand.

The Alpine Class is Korea's first Alpine one-make race, featuring the Renault high-performance car model 'Alpine A110S.' The A110S is a rear-wheel-drive sports car boasting a maximum output of 300 horsepower and a peak torque of 340 Newton-meters (Nm). It is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and weighs only 1109 kg, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The Alpine A110S was first unveiled through a demo run at the 3rd round of the 2024 O-NE Superrace Championship Gangwon Motor Festa held at Inje Speedium. Additionally, the race will be broadcast live on multiple channels, including Sky Sports, Superrace YouTube, and Naver Sports.

All vehicles participating in the Alpine Class will be equipped with Kumho Tire's ultra-high-performance tire, the 'ECSTA V730,' which delivers excellent grip and stable handling performance even at high speeds. Through this sponsorship contract, Kumho Tire will supply all Alpine Class race tires on a paid basis for the entire season. Furthermore, this supply will once again demonstrate the true value of racing tire technology and support the successful operation of the competition.
