On the 11th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province opened the 'Mobile Workers' Rest Area No. 2' at the Yongin City Labor Welfare Center located in Kimryangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu. This is the second rest area following the first one near Jukjeon Station in Suji-gu last year.

In March, the city received national funding of 54.85 million KRW through the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Platform Workers Workplace Improvement Support Project' competition, and combined it with an equal amount of city funds to establish the rest area.

The rest area was set up on the first floor of the Yongin City Labor Welfare Center, covering an area of 68㎡. It is divided into four spaces: male and female lounges, a shared rest area, a relaxation room, and a counseling room.

The rest area is equipped with various convenience items such as heating and cooling facilities, air purifiers, water purifiers, massage chairs, computers, mobile phone chargers, blood pressure monitors, and hair dryers. For security and safety, CCTV cameras have been installed both inside and outside, and a separate security service is also operated.

In particular, considering the work characteristics of mobile workers, a 'helmet dryer' has been installed, and a separate parking space for two-wheeled vehicles has been provided outside the building. The city plans to keep bottled water and ice water available at all times until September.

In the counseling room, expert psychological counseling and labor consultations are provided to mobile workers by prior reservation. To this end, the city has hired counselors in the fields of psychology, vocational, and labor. Workers wishing to receive counseling can visit after making a prior reservation with the Labor-Management Cooperation Team of the Yongin City Corporate Support Division.

Meanwhile, about 50 people attended the opening ceremony, including Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin, Lee Pil-gi, President of the Yongin Branch of the National Substitute Driving Labor Union Gyeonggi Branch, and Kim Jae-woo, Organization Director of Rider Union. Mayor Lee said, "The second rest area opened this time is much better in terms of size and facilities compared to the Jukjeon rest area, so I hope many people will use it conveniently."
