Replacement of Artificial Turf, Creation of Spectator Stands, Restrooms, and Rest Areas

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) has completed the replacement of the artificial turf at the Haenuri Sports Park soccer field located by the Anyangcheon Stream, along with the construction of convenience facilities, and will reopen on the 14th.

The Haenuri Sports Park soccer field, established in 2005, had aging facilities and drainage issues during rainfall, posing safety risks, which made renovation necessary.

Since last year, the district secured related budgets including national funds and focused on minimizing safety accidents during games by replacing the artificial turf over the past three months and installing shock-absorbing drainage panels to resolve water pooling problems within the field.

At the No. 1 soccer field, new spectator seats were installed, and auxiliary facilities such as portable restrooms, circular chairs, benches, and outdoor exercise equipment were added to create rest areas.
