Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced that 'Cafe Nanuda (茶) Branch 3,' operated by the Dongdaemun Senior Club, a support organization for senior job projects, opened on the 11th.
Cafe Nanuda (茶) is a market-type senior job project in Dongdaemun-gu that has been steadily promoted up to the third branch this year, following the opening of the first branch in 2022.
The third branch is located on the first floor of the Dongdaemun Youth Reading Room inside Jangan Neighborhood Park (191 Janghan-ro), where eight senior baristas aged 65 and over were busy preparing coffee ordered by customers visiting the cafe on opening day.
The opening ceremony held on the 11th was attended by Mayor Ilpyeong Lee of Dongdaemun-gu and other guests, who delivered congratulatory and encouraging messages.
Mayor Ilpyeong Lee of Dongdaemun-gu cheered on the new challenge of the eight senior baristas working at the third branch, saying, "We hope you share coffee like a sweet rest in a tiring day with those who visit the cafe."
Cafe Nanuda (茶) Branch 3 operates from 9 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 8 PM on weekends and public holidays. It is closed every Monday when the reading room is closed.
