Group NewJeans' Japanese debut single 'Supernatural' has sold over one million copies, marking their fifth million-seller overall.
On the 11th, their agency ADOR announced that NewJeans' 'Supernatural' sold 1,021,730 copies according to the Circle Chart's June album chart.
With this, NewJeans has achieved the record of selling over one million copies for all five albums released since their debut in July 2022.
Their first mini-album 'New Jeans' and the single 'OMG' sold 1.6 million and 1.66 million copies respectively. Their second mini-album 'Get Up' sold over 2.14 million copies, becoming a double million-seller. The single 'How Sweet,' released last May, has sold over 1.12 million copies.
The cumulative sales of the five albums released by NewJeans currently total approximately 7.55 million copies.
'Supernatural' is also strong on digital charts. It held the number one spot on Bugs' daily chart for nine consecutive days (July 2?10) and reached as high as number five on Melon's 'Top 100'.
It continues to perform well on global charts. On the latest Billboard charts (dated July 13), 'Supernatural' ranked 22nd on the 'Global Excl. U.S.' chart and 34th on the 'Global 200,' charting for two consecutive weeks. 'Right Now' ranked 120th on the 'Global Excl. U.S.' chart. Both songs also appeared on major Japanese music charts such as Spotify Japan and Apple Music Japan, proving their popularity.
NewJeans will perform 'Supernatural' on domestic music programs including KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' and MBC TV's 'Show! Music Core.'
