TKG Aekang, a specialized manufacturer of piping materials (CEO Seo Jeong-hwan), is accelerating its overseas expansion by focusing on industrial piping products.
TKG Aekang announced on the 11th that it recently delivered its first batch of industrial CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) piping products to Vietnam. As a company specializing in piping materials, it has expanded its product range from residential piping products, which were its existing specialty, to industrial use based on its long-standing technology and know-how.
The industrial CPVC pipes that TKG Aekang successfully exported utilize the excellent chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and workability of polyvinyl chloride, while significantly improving the heat resistance, which was a drawback. These heat-resistant rigid PVC pipes are hygienic, have excellent electrical insulation, and are easy to cut and join, allowing piping work even in narrow spaces. Additionally, they offer economic advantages compared to other piping materials.
Starting with the initial shipment to Vietnam, TKG Aekang aims to deliver ten 40-foot containers quarterly this year. The company has been striving to enter the market in line with the steadily increasing demand for industrial CPVC in Vietnam. It actively participated in major industrial exhibitions in Asia and maintained close communication with local companies to explore export channels capable of stable supply.
This export to Vietnam is expected to be a stepping stone for TKG Aekang, which has solidified its position as a leading company in the domestic market, to grow further. A company representative stated, “This export product is significant in terms of expanding our product line to industrial CPVC,” adding, “We expect that customer satisfaction and trust will increase through this product, leading to sales growth through new plant business.”
TKG Aekang plans to secure a leading position in the Vietnamese market, which has a large-scale plant market, and gradually expand into the Southeast Asian market. The strategy is to target the Southeast Asian market, which has great growth potential for industrial piping products, to secure new growth engines.
