From July 15, Village Bus 'Yeongdeungpo 05' Route Extended to Mullae-dong 4-ga
Two New Stops Added at Sinan Inseubil Apartment and Samhwan Apartment, Namsung Apartment Stop Relocated
Improved Public Transit Connectivity and Transfer Convenience Expected to Ease Commute and Traffic Congestion
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will extend the 'Yeongdeungpo05' village bus route and officially start operation on the 15th to improve public transportation convenience and accessibility for residents.
The newly added stops are Sinan Inseubil Apartment and Samhwan Apartment, expanding the existing Yeongdeungpo Station~Mullae Station~Dangsan Station route to Mullae-dong 4-ga.
Additionally, considering passengers' movement patterns, the bus stop previously located near the front gate of Namseong Apartment was relocated to the back gate side to enhance bus usage convenience.
As a result, residents of Mullae-dong 4-ga, a densely populated residential area that had experienced inconvenience due to the lack of nearby bus stops, can now easily travel by bus to major stations such as Dangsan Station, Yeongdeungpo Station, and Mullae Station.
The district expects that the establishment of two new bus stops and the extension of the village bus route will further improve public transportation services in Mullae-dong. With expanded connections to buses, urban railroads, and other public transportation, transfers will become faster and more convenient, alleviating commuting difficulties and traffic congestion.
So far, the district has listened to the continuous requests from Mullae-dong residents for improved public transportation services in Mullae-dong 4-ga and has worked diligently with transportation companies, Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and experts through multifaceted communication to extend the route.
The newly extended route will begin operation from the first bus at 6 a.m. on the 15th. On weekdays, there will be a total of 76 trips, with intervals of approximately 11 to 18 minutes.
Furthermore, ahead of the full operation, the district has paid attention to residents' safety. To ensure passenger safety during bus boarding and alighting, CCTV for illegal parking enforcement has been installed at the new bus stops. Illegal parking vehicles will also be intensively monitored.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “Expanding transportation infrastructure not only enhances public transportation convenience but also creates a synergy effect that can boost population inflow and regional economic revitalization, thereby increasing urban competitiveness.” He added, “Please look forward to seeing Mullae-dong, which had been a public transportation blind spot, transform into a new transportation hub through the expansion of bus stops and the extension of the village bus route.”
