Samsung Electronics has introduced a new Galaxy Watch series that can comprehensively monitor health status. It is capable of measuring 'Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs),' a health indicator reflecting the user's sleep apnea and aging process.
On the 10th (local time), Samsung Electronics held 'Galaxy Unpacked 2024' in Paris, France, unveiling the 'Galaxy Watch7' and 'Galaxy Watch Ultra.'
The Galaxy Watch7 supports daily health management through health monitoring and personalized exercise coaching. The Galaxy Watch Ultra offers the most powerful wearable experience ever, based on the highest performance and features in the Samsung Galaxy Watch lineup.

The Watch7 provides advanced monitoring and personalized features through evolved innovative sensor technology. For the first time in the Watch series, it offers measurement of Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs). AGEs are formed when sugars in the blood infiltrate the skin and bind with proteins or lipids. They are one of the health indicators reflecting the user's biological aging process and are significantly influenced by regular diet and lifestyle habits. The Watch7 supports measuring AGEs accumulated in the skin through sensors, helping users gain a more comprehensive understanding of their health status.
The Watch series also features, for the first time, a sleep apnea measurement function approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) De Novo. The enhanced sleep AI algorithm supports more accurate sleep measurement.
The Watch7 offers various heart health monitoring functions. The 'Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN)' feature detects irregular heartbeats. Electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure (BP) monitoring functions assist users in managing their cardiovascular health.
It supports measurement of over 100 types of exercises. Using the 'Exercise Routine' feature, individuals can combine multiple preferred exercises in their own way to create a personalized workout routine.
The Galaxy Watch series features a 3-nanometer processor for the first time. The CPU speed is approximately three times faster than the previous model, and the processor's power consumption efficiency has improved by about 30%, providing a faster and smoother user experience. For GPS, the series introduces the 'Dual-Frequency GPS System' for the first time, offering more accurate location tracking even in complex urban environments.
The Galaxy Watch7 is available in two sizes. The 44mm Galaxy Watch7 comes in Green and Silver colors. The 40mm Galaxy Watch7 is available in Green and Cream colors. The price for the 44mm Bluetooth model is 389,000 KRW, and the 40mm Bluetooth model is 349,000 KRW. The LTE models are priced at 419,100 KRW for the 44mm and 379,500 KRW for the 40mm.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra delivers a higher level of outdoor fitness experience through enhanced performance. It features Samsung Galaxy Watch's signature round design with a new cushion design, providing stronger protection.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra uses a titanium frame to withstand strong impacts and supports 10ATM water resistance. It can be used from an altitude of minus (-) 500 meters below sea level up to 9,000 meters above sea level.
The 'Multi-Sport Tile' feature measures results for various multi-sports such as triathlon and duathlon by combining swimming, cycling, and running exercises. Users can also customize exercise combinations according to their needs.
Using the 'Quick Button,' users can instantly start exercise measurement and easily control workouts, such as skipping to the next course. Pressing the button for more than 5 seconds activates an emergency siren for user safety. The display offers up to 3,000 nits of brightness, ensuring excellent visibility under bright sunlight, and automatically switches to night mode in dark environments for optimal readability at night.
To allow users to wear the watch with peace of mind for extended periods, it provides longer battery life. In power-saving mode, it can be used for up to 100 hours, and in exercise power-saving mode, up to 48 hours.
When using the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring together, the efficiency of health measurements improves, extending the Galaxy Ring's battery life by up to 30%.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is available in one 47mm LTE model. It comes in three colors: Titanium Gray, Titanium White, and Titanium Silver. The price is 899,800 KRW.
In South Korea, an early bird live broadcast will be held on Samsung.com and major open markets starting at midnight on the 11th, immediately after the Unpacked event. Official pre-sales for both products will take place from the 12th to the 18th through online open markets such as Samsung.com, Naver, Coupang, 11st, Gmarket, and offline stores including Samsung Store, Hi-Mart, and the three major mobile carriers.
