Jang Ye-chan, former Supreme Youth Member of the People Power Party, revealed that he directly helped create and distribute content in the so-called 'Han Dong-hoon Ministry of Justice Minister Public Opinion Formation Team' that he mentioned. Jang claims that when Han Dong-hoon was serving as the Minister of Justice, there was a 'public opinion formation team' that created favorable content about Han and spread it across communities.

What does it mean that there was a public opinion formation team when Han Dong-hoon was Minister of Justice?

I never used the term 'comment team.' I said 'public opinion formation team.' In other words, they posted favorable and helpful posts about him on specific communities and also produced YouTube content, distributing it widely to YouTubers and speakers who have influence in shaping public opinion.

Do you think there was illegality involved, like in the Druking case?

It’s somewhat different from Druking. Since Han was the Minister of Justice when that team was operating, whether he was aware of it is important. I won’t definitively say whether it was illegal or not with my own words. But even looking at the facts revealed so far, one can judge that this is a sensitive and risky matter to some extent.

The Han candidate’s side says it’s absurd and asks for evidence.

Just by seeing that they are not responding, I think they know my words are true and that there is basis for what I say. I helped create the content and also helped distribute it, so this is not just something I heard. In a way, being close to the parties involved, I know well the reality and scale of that team.

Who created that team and how did you join?

I cannot speak about that part.

Are you willing to disclose the team roster?

I am considering it depending on the situation. It may not necessarily be during the party convention; it could be after. I revealed what I know to point out and warn against misleading claims like there being a comment team for Yongsan or the First Lady. If Han’s side refrains from diversion tactics, I have no intention to go further. However, if they resist or file lawsuits, I will have no choice but to respond accordingly.
