Jindo-gun Selected as an Outstanding Institution at the Health Promotion Project Performance Competition

High Praise for Village Dedicated Physician System and Mobile Physical Therapy Center Operation

On the 10th, Jindo-gun Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do announced that it was selected as an excellent institution for performance improvement in the strategy category at the '16th Local Government Health Promotion Project Performance Competition' held on the 5th, receiving a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.

This performance competition is an event that awards and encourages excellent institutions in the comprehensive and strategy categories based on the Ministry of Health and Welfare's project evaluation items, including the 2023 Community Integrated Health Promotion Project result report, the 2024 plan, and best practices.

At the 16th Local Government Health Promotion Project Performance Competition, it was selected as an excellent institution for performance improvement in the strategy sector and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.

In this evaluation, Jindo-gun received high marks for actively promoting multidisciplinary projects such as the Our Village Dedicated Primary Physician System and the operation of a Visiting Physical Therapy Center.

In particular, the Our Village Dedicated Primary Physician System is a senior health-focused policy project initiated from the 8th local government administration, operating traditional Korean medicine acupuncture treatments visiting villages and a mobile dental bus, which has received great response from local residents.

A county official said, "We are very pleased to have achieved good results as a result of efforts to improve the health level and quality of life of Jindo residents, and we will continue to do our best to create a health-friendly environment and respond to local extinction by providing integrated health services that all residents can enjoy."
