In Seocheon-gun, Chungnam, an extreme downpour with a cumulative rainfall of over 204.5mm as of 11 a.m. on the 10th caused widespread damage.
As a result, roads were washed away, leading to traffic controls at 16 locations. Additionally, 121,000 livestock perished, and 33.5 hectares of farmland, including greenhouses, were flooded.
As of 9:30 a.m. on the same day, 269 damage reports had been received, and 53 pieces of restoration equipment, including 41 excavators, were mobilized for recovery efforts.
County Governor Kim Kiyoung issued emergency level 3 at 2 a.m. that day, assessed the damage at the disaster site, and ordered swift restoration.
